Neurodiversity Therapist & Coach
Barbara Blaze Lazarony, LMFT
Neurodiversity Therapist in California and a Coach Worldwide
Welcome—I’m So Glad You’re Here
I’m Barbara Blaze Lazarony, my birth name is Barbara, but all of my friends call me Blaze.
Blaze isn’t just a nickname.
It’s my lived philosophy—bringing warmth, light, and grounded guidance to the most tender places of the human experience.
I’m a licensed therapist, certified coach, and proud neurodivergent woman offering trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming support to individuals, couples, and leaders who are ready to live with more clarity, connection, and self-trust.

A Personal Journey That Shaped My Calling
I’m in the final third of my life—and I know it. At 60, after surviving cancer three times, I don’t take a single day for granted. That clarity drives my passion to support neurodivergent adults and couples who feel like they’ve tried everything as well as every therapist…and still don’t feel seen.
Before becoming a therapist, I led a 20-year corporate career at Macy’s, where I was responsible for $2.5 billion in sales across 42 U.S. locations. I was a tremendous job that I loved, affording me to collaborate with many talented people, learn business inside out, and strategize on enormous challenges–but a cancer diagnosis at 38 years old brought all of that to a grinding halt.
However, I knew something deeper was calling, so I returned to school and earned an Advanced Certification in Integral Coaching. This approach focuses on holistic development and transformation, incorporating the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of individuals. For the past 18 years, I’ve run a successful coaching business for women entrepreneurs, combining intuitive guidance, hypnotherapy, business acumen, and personal experience to help individuals find their way back to loving themselves and their businesses.
My own journey hasn’t been easy. My first cancer diagnosis also came with a set of mental health diagnoses: PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression, later understood as Complex Trauma. It took me nearly two decades to realize that some of these diagnoses weren’t just trauma-related… they were rooted in neurodivergence.
I now identify as someone with many of the traits of both Autism and ADHD, with a large number of sensory sensitivities, and the deeply felt experiences of a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). Bottom line, I am neurodivergent, and I have spent much of my life deeply masked–even from myself!
I speak openly about my neurodivergence everywhere I possibly can—not because it’s easy, but because I believe transparency and normalizing are healing for others. When we name what’s true, we create emotional safety and trust.
My story is a bridge, not a spotlight.
In my work today, I help neurodivergent adults and couples who are tired of masking, over-explaining, or feeling “too much.” Whether you’re navigating misattunement in your relationship or exploring a diagnosis for the first time, I offer a space that is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and paced to your nervous system.
I don’t pathologize difference. I honor it.
I don’t fix people. I meet them.
And I don’t offer quick fixes. I offer real connection—rooted in curiosity, emotional clarity, and mutual respect.
Every session is an opportunity to slow down, breathe, and piece together the complex and colorful mystery of being human.
If you’ve been searching for someone who truly gets it—I’m here.
You don’t have to do this alone anymore.
Below is my Blaze A Brilliant Path™ logo, a division of my work with women and a personal reminder to be a beacon of light and positive energy. I am not only a neurodiversity therapist and coach but also the CEO and Founder of Love on the Autism Spectrum™, Neurodiverse Executive Coaching™, and the Neurodiversity Network™.

Why I Do This Work
I’ve been in a neurodiverse relationship for over 40 years.
I know what it’s like to feel missed or skipped as someone who is neurodiverse, even by well-meaning health professionals.
I’ve worked with couples who’ve seen therapist after therapist, yet still felt more disconnected than when they started.
I support individuals who’ve carried the weight of masking, burnout, or late-diagnosis grief—and finally want to feel seen, not pathologized.
You don’t need to “fix” yourself.
You need someone who understands how your brain works—and honors your whole humanity in the process.

For Couples
If your relationship feels stuck, out of sync, or emotionally exhausting—especially after trying traditional therapy, even two to five other therapists, I see you.
You’re not “too different” to connect.
You just haven’t had support that fits your actual neurotypes.
Whether one or both of you are neurodivergent, I’ll help you bridge communication breakdowns, navigate shutdowns, and reconnect with emotional intimacy—at your pace, in your language, with tools that work for you.
For Neurodivergent Adults
Maybe you’ve just been diagnosed.
Maybe you’ve always known you move through the world differently.
Maybe you’re tired of explaining yourself, or trying to keep it all together.
You might be sensitive, deeply emotional, or burned out.
You might be masking so well that no one sees your struggle.
You might be wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.
In our work, we’ll make space for all of it—without shame, without rushing, and without pathologizing your truth.
